could be really cool idea for a 'doilly dress':dye some doillies black and add them to an existing prom-style dress for more of an edge...could even have them making a sleeve or going over the shoulder into a neck peice?

Really like this idea. Just a simple but very elegant long dress in theory, but fabric makes the dress...simple design it seems: a tulip style hem created by twisting the bottom and attaching the base into the seam under the bust?

Great idea for the 'skirts' of dresses, to lightly pleat fabric and instead of seams, overlap the fabric under the bust so it opens to a certain extent when you walk.

Just plain stunnin'! Huge applique is fab, could work with doilly idea also- they could be used instead of the feathers?

Cool idea would be to make a simple wrapped skirt so the fabric overlaps and leaves a slit in the front.....must be longer then floor length for model, and then you would sew together all the bottom hem at the back (through gathering), opening up the dress more at the front.

Love the 1940's/50's neckline and sleeves, and the distressed feel of all black and the lace underskirt....

Knitting woooo! Love the huge needles and light ply used...big bell sleeves great too. The transparency of the material makes it work, as you can see the figure through it, so it doesnt need much shape.

Massive pocket and applique could definately be used, and love the huge tunnel neckline!
