So im thinking 2 1/2 months into my 2nd year at uni, that its not for me and is in fact a very expensive way of procastinating about life :-) Its taken a good few gut wrenching days to decide this but it feels pretty right right now, 2010 is showing signs of becoming a bit of a 'Tank Girl' year it seems...
So to blast into this year in a creative bexieeeee style I've finished a really pretty commition for a guy at work called Alistair who wanted a purple velvet-esque dress for his 10yr old neice. (left)
And im creating in a Winter Wonderland! Its so white outside, it snowed last night...
So creating lots of things- Also got a peacock outfit started for my 22nd (argh! only 1day left of being 21!) which is coming on nicely. Its a bodiced dress made out of green, blue and purple fabrics...instead of it just being appliqued with peacock embroidery or something Im really trying/aspiring to make it look like the feathers themselves are actually the structure of the dress itself...photos to come later. (i was making it until 2/3 last night :-D
INSPIRATION-
Did the grand thing of putting 'upcycled clothing' into google to see what would come up and straight away found a really cool scottish designer that is really funky. Check her stuff oooout!
